Pacific Grove, California

Kurt and I drove from San Jose, through strawberry and artichoke fields, to Pacific Grove. PG is the home of Asilomar, a camp-like retreat just 200 yards from the marine reserve of the same name. We attended the 20th meeting of the Society for Conservation GIS, where Kurt taught a QGIS workshop. 

 

We explored the coast...

We visited the aquarium... twice!

The highlight was our whale watching trip with Blue Ocean and Captain Kate. Here are their photos... and here's a video Kurt took.
